This is the unofficial story of what has happened as told by the imperfect narrators of a few PCs with too much time and too little documentation.
The Stonecropt Sentinels traveled to Graffark to assist in guarding and transporting Prince Caldur, Lady Frikka, and the baby Princess Bridgid back to Stonecropt. While in Graffark we enjoyed the hospitality of the Jarl, his wife, and many of their people. There were minor scuffles with wildlife, including a type of water horse called a Nykur that had pulled several victims into the river including children. All that were found were saved and rumor has it the Nykur can command victims to enter the water on their own power but fear the sound of their own name.
The trip to Stonecropt was treacherous and lethal. Chief among the challenges was getting the ship unstuck in a coordinated fashion while fending off foes. A night jelly, massive in scope even as a baby, was seen and all efforts made to avoid angering it. Those efforts failed. One of the ships accompanying our vessel was sunk in transit. This happened near a beach that belonged to the Vixeneer. While engineers, gathers, and rescuers worked to make life boats and save lives from the sunk ship, others fought the onslaught. Thanks to the significant efforts of all involved, no soul was lost.
During the daylight hours back in Stonecropt we continued our normal affairs of removing monsters and solving problems. A theft was resolved with little fanfare and best left forgotten. Scoffin were skinned by the gross. We delved into an ancient concrete structure called a "parking garage" to extract significant amounts of resources and encountered a peaceful dangerous creature called an alloygator eating rebar.
Siggy arrived with prophecy. At the Hellen Ball to celebrate the baby Princess Bridgid's place as heir to Crown Princess Gunhilde there would be intrigue. Three nobles were targeted by the Morai witches from Reykjavik. These three were pillars that supported the Royal Hellis family. Three more nobles were betrayers who had willingly chosen to assassinate their associates. We would know them by what they said and by their marks for both target and betrayer would have seals upon them. In addition we learned that the three Chatoyents, all of whom serve Lakozik, can be saved from their current position. Lakozik has and will continue to kill them and remake them when they learn too much. They can be restored and given enough free will to make a deal and remain intact. To accomplish this we will need the consent of all three, the red flowered lace from our closest one, the armor from the Hellen Knight, and the mask from the Onyx Fey. This must be accomplished by August if it is to succeed. This entire quest is for Chatoyent's benefit and serves no higher purpose than to ensure that someone who has lost free will can have it restored.
As the sun sank beneath the horizon we sank beneath the waves. The challenge was significant, the cost was high, and victory was achieved. The Sentinels now have a 100 meter ship from the final days before the apocalypse. It requires a great deal of work to be converted to modern technology.
Travel was made to Hella to attend the ball. Many did their best to clean up and look presentable. The ball itself was a complex network of social challenges that explained quite neatly why Prince Caldur and Lady Frikka enjoy their time in Stonecropt. After a lengthy investigation we found that Lady Arvarish, Lord Valeheart, and King Turgeis Hellis were the three targets. Darling Sko'zhra betrayed the king for reasons not yet known. Marvin Anista is next in line for House Anista but is in love with Raumr Valeheart so the two men conspired to kill the Lady Arvrish and the Lord Valeheart.
Once all were saved and brought to justice the Sentinels took to the catacombs to seal the doorway opened by Prince Godfried. There are monsters beneath the streets of Hella and we fought many of them. Creatures made mostly flesh that fight what comes through, and even something monstrous that lurks deeper still and hunts by sound. Thankfully the seal was resealed and access for the Morai was blocked.
