Event 2: The Omnicron Matrix
It has been three years since the near capture of Dark Dominar. Since that time the war between the Galactic Alliance and the Outer Rim planets has taken a turn for the worse. All pretense has been abandoned and those loyal to Dark Dominar and her Dark Psions are known as the Dominion. Planets once loyal to the Alliance now join with the Dominion and those who stand against her are intimidated or eliminated by her apprentice Dark Ocular. Only the Light Psions have managed to stall the advance. With the assistance of the Galactic Alliance Military they have enforced peace and order as a bulwark against the Dark Psions.
The survivors of the Incident on the Tranquility have each gone their separate ways. During these times they have each, at one time or another, felt the touch of Dark Dominar on their minds and have been forced to act to her benefit. And each have sought some way to be free once again. And now, three years later, there is hope at last. The Galactic Compass which is now integrated with the Tranquility has been deciphered. It points to an ancient psionic device called the Omnicron Matrix which holds the key to their freedom and possibly the future of the Galaxy.
The event will run from after lunch until before dinner on a Saturday. Daylight is a must for this. The event will be $20 to pay staff and to fund a loan program for helping people get out of debt. If this goes well we may run future events. We will have a 30 player max with priority given to returning characters, then returning players, then new players. NPCs will be paid $20 for assisting with this event. We will receive staff at the house as early as 10 AM. Players can arrive by 11. Game review and setup starts at 12 and this will be important for reviewing any physical layouts, mod sites, and mechanics. Game play starts at 1. Game ends at 7 with cleanup to follow.
This event is going to be a mix of RP, combat, and puzzles. A distribution of talents and classes will be necessary to succeed. This event will have much more freedom and travel. Time will be the most limited resource. As players you will have more options than you can possibly handle in the time frame given and will need to split up to accomplish tasks spanning multiple star systems. All the while Dark Ocular will be pursuing you across the galaxy and Dark Dominar will assert her influence over you time and again.
